Berberis thunbergii 'Royal Burgundy'Sometimes a tried and true variety improves on itself. This new barberry was a sport found on 'Crimson Pygmy' and is even better. The foliage has richer burgundy color on smaller velvety leaves that hold their color through summer. Then, in fall, the foliage turns a reddish black shade that is exceptional.
