Comte de Vogue Musigny 1999Robert Parker The Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru 1999 is deep in color. It has a lovely savory bouquet with hints of Italian cured meats and bacon fat intermingling with briary scents, all with really impressive intensity. The palate is full bodied and well balanced. There is clearly a bit of sinew here. Truffle and sappy black fruit form the second half with a saline note urging another sip toward the finish. This punches above my expectations, though I
