EliseThis piece depicts my daughter as a young girl, soon after wed moved back to New Orleans, on Mardi Gras day. The house in the background was a favorite near the home we rented in the Uptown section of town for a few years. I always make an attempt to work with a limited color palette, which helps to create cohesion with the pinks, purples and blues carrying through the painting and unifying the portrait of Elise and the architectural homage behind her.
